Over the weekend Reg and I participated in International Tabletop Day Halifax Edition. I had never really done tabletop games in this manner before and was a tad nervous.

Until we choose the game Zombies!!! And I swapped characters with Reg. I wanted to be the dude in all-black holding a shotgun.

Amazingly, I got my first zombie kill quite easily.

Still, like typical me, I went off in my own direction on a suicide mission, wanting to clear the board of as many zombies as I could.

Even though people (ahem, INCLUDING Reg) sent zombies my way (which I responded in-kind) I amazingly... survived!

Soon, I had a whole hoard of zombies at my feet! But of course that could not last!

I got a brain cramp and lost all my lives! Overrun with zombies and bad luck. I was D-E-A-D dead.

Resurrected, I decided it was time to play with the others and go for it since they were attacking me while I was on my own. Things were bad but then...

They got even worse! The board was covered in zombies, all the way to the helipad where the helicopter would pick one lone survivor up.

As the others tried to search for ammo and extra lives, I said, "To hell with it!" I am just going to go for it and if I die, I die. I had no ammo, no lives left. Everyone thought I was crazy.

But I did it. I honestly am not sure how it happened (they had to tell me I won) I made it to the helipad and took off on the helicopter alone! Leaving comrades and zombies behind.
Best game ever!
